DEGEN Studios: Honestly, we started DEGEN because we wanted to make games we would actually play ourselves. Slots that hit hard, move fast, and don’t try to hold your hand. It wasn’t an attempt to “fix the industry.” We just saw a void for something more intense, and filled it ourselves.

DEGEN Studios: We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel. We just want to make slots that feel exciting again. No frills, no unnecessary effects, just real (high) volatility and raw excitement. If we have a “why”, it’s just that: to build games we would play ourselves. Games that get our pulse racing.

Kongebonus: Raider Riches set the tone for DEGEN’s style, dark, risky and uncompromising. How does Rave Riot build on this?

DEGEN Studios: Raider Riches was about mastering the unknown, about the danger in every spin. With Rave Riot we wanted to capture a completely different kind of energy. We went for the electric feel of a rave concert, the lights, the sound and the unpredictability. It’s still just as high-stakes, but with a pace and visual style that screams “dance floor mayhem”. We wanted players to feel the pulse. Just like they were in the middle of a rave.

Kongebonus: What makes Rave Riot different in terms of gameplay?

DEGEN Studios: We’ve taken everything we learned from Raider Riches and made it even more explosive. Rave Riot features a new Rave Meter mechanic that builds excitement and triggers bonuses in time with the music.
